Customer Do’s (Things to Prepare in Advance)
Planning ahead makes relocation stress-free. Complete these crucial steps 24 to 48 hours before the packing team arrives.
Operational Requirements:
- DO defrost refrigerators and deep freezers 24 hours prior to packing to allow complete water drainage.
- DO disconnect gas cylinders, drain fuel from lawnmowers/generators, and empty motorcycle fuel tanks to 1/4th capacity.
- DO keep personal identity documents, property papers, passports, and medical kits in a separate personal handbag.
- DO secure gate entry passes from your society RWA or building management in advance.
- DO take photos of valuable electronic items working prior to disconnection.
Customer Don’ts (Strict Prohibitions & Safety Rules)
To comply with Indian highway transport laws and ensure transit safety, certain items CANNOT be loaded onto moving trucks.
Operational Requirements:
- DON’T pack cash, gold jewelry, expensive wristwatches, or bearer bonds into moving cartons. Carry them personally.
- DON’T ship hazardous materials including petrol, kerosene, fireworks, acids, paint thinners, or matchboxes.
- DON’T send perishable food items, fresh milk, or unsealed liquids that could spill and damage adjacent cartons.
- DON’T leave pets, indoor plants, or dangerous chemicals inside container trucks.
- DON’T pack loaded firearms, ammunition, or contraband items prohibited by RTO and police regulations.
